Educate yourself about the progression of the disease. This will help you understand some why your loved one is acting the way they are.
Engage in their favorite pastimes, such as cooking a family recipe or looking through family photos.
Remember to take time for yourself. Your mental and physical health is just as important.
Don’t correct your loved one or tell them they are wrong, rather redirect the conversation. Refocus them on
something else. Know your resources. Join support groups and know you are not alone. Just do your best, remember you can’t do it all!
It’s okay to ask for help. If your loved one is physically aggressive, it may be time to get additional help.
