Swing Back Stronger – Riverside’s Titleist Performance Institute Golf Rehabilitation Program Can Help You Ace Your Recovery

Arnold Palmer said, “Success in golf depends less on strength of body than upon strength of mind and character.” Still, to golfers struggling with joint pain and range of motion, this wisdom from one of the game’s all-time greats can feel a little inaccurate.

For golfers needing assistance with these issues, Riverside Healthcare offers the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), a newly launched golf rehabilitation program geared toward golf enthusiasts looking to elevate their game. This program aims to help golfers overcome performance limitations by finding a medically-based and specialized solution to fit their needs.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this program to our community,” said TPI-certified Riverside physical therapist Marcus Rinaldi, DPT. “Our goal is to provide golfers with the specialized care they need to stay healthy and enjoy the game for years to come.”

If a patient needs more than exercise, Riverside’s physical therapy team can transition the patient to traditional physical therapy to treat musculoskeletal issues further with joint assessment and treatment utilizing both exercise and hands-on therapy.

Participants undergo an initial assessment from one of Riverside’s TPI-certified physical therapists that looks at key areas, including swing mechanics, physical fitness, health, injury, and stability. Based on the assessment results, Riverside’s team creates a detailed rehabilitation plan to address their needs, from personalized fitness training to targeted physical therapy and treatment.

“Every golf swing is different, which is why treatment plans are tailored to each golfer,” said TPI-certified Riverside physical therapist Alex Denklau, DPT. “Being able to work individually with each golfer is what makes this program successful, and we are excited to see the positive impact it has on the golf community.”
